In the spirit of friendship, Tea Spoon was created for tea lovers the whole world over to swap stories, share traditions, review items and meet new friends and aficionados . . . all in good spirits over the steeping of leaves! We invite you to post your own musings and will start where we began:
which is somewhere inside of an aromatic bag of Rooibos infused with limes from Robert’s Coffee located in beautiful downtown Helsinki. From this delightful brew, a back-and-forth between us continued with our own swapping of many varieties of Rooibos and something unique we enjoy from Lucknow, India called Tulsi. Between sips of tea, we share stories about our day, our life, our hopes and dreams.
Over the holidays, Elina discovered this book she shared with me by Alexander McCall Smith called The No. 1 Ladies’ Detective Agency, in which the opening lines include the following intrigue:
“Then there was a teapot, in which Mma Ramotswe – the only lady private detective in Botswana – brewed redbush tea.”
Thus our journey begins!
